  • Portneuf Medical Center is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's tertiary care and Level II Trauma Center, housing the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group, and Portneuf Air Rescue.
    Responsibilities
    
    
    • Responsible for the analysis and the use of purposeful activity with individuals who are limited by development and disorders of speech, voice, swallowing and related language and hearing disorders to prevent or modify the disorders or to assist individuals in cognition-language and communication skills.
    • The practice of speech-language pathology encompasses evaluation, treatment, consultation and education of patients as well as caregivers.
    • Performs a comprehensive evaluation and develops a Plan of Care.
    • Implements the Plan of Care.
    • Completes effective, professional and timely documentation.
    • Educates patients, families, caregivers and team members.
      Qualifications
      
      Job Requirements
      • Graduate of an accredited program with a Masters degree in Speech/Language or Communication Disorders
      • Certificate of Clinical Competency by the American Speech-Language Association or equivalent course work to meet these standards, or obtain within one year of hire.
      • Current Idaho State SLP license
      • BLS certification Preferred Job Requirements
        • At least one year of prior experience
