  Portneuf Medical Center is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's Level II Trauma and tertiary care center and home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group, and Portneuf Air Rescue.
  Responsibilities
  
  Under the supervision of the physician, performs all phases of diagnostic medical sonography and/or interventional procedures to provide high quality diagnostic exams and patient care. -Procedures include but are not necessarily limited to, abdominal or transvaginal, OB/GYN, and interventional ultrasound procedures.
  Qualifications
  
  Job Requirements: -

  • Must hold or be pursuing current licensure as an RDMS with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or equivalent. Must obtain ARDMS certification within 18 months of hire.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Must be competent in scanning abdominal organs such as liver, kidneys, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, and parts of the chest.
  • Must be competent in scanning obstetric and gynecologic areas, the imaging of the female reproductive system and fetus.
  • Must be competent in scanning noninvasive vascular exams such as carotid, venous, aorta, and hepatic Doppler studies.
  • Must be competent in scanning in interventional cases.
  • Must be able to demonstrate specific normal anatomy and abnormal pathology.
